Hiawatha District BSA announces monthly roundtables

The Hiawatha District Boy Scouts of America, covering Broome and Tioga Counties, has set up its Roundtable schedules for the spring sessions.

Roundtables are set up for Scout leaders in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturing, and Sea Scouting to gain knowledge about enhancing the experiences for the scout members in their Packs, Troops, Crews and Ships.

All Scout leaders are encouraged to attend the Roundtables and participate in the sessions.

The Roundtables are held at the Apalachin Elementary School, located at 405 Pennsylvanie Ave. in Apalachin, at 7 p.m.

The April 5 session will be “Model Patrol Leaders Council.” The Patrol Leaders Council is for the boy leaders of a Troop, which are led by the Senior Patrol Leaders of the Troop.

The May 3 session is “Life to Eagle.” Parents of Life Scouts, Troop Advancement Chairpersons and Mentors are encouraged to attend the May Roundtable.

The June session will be the Hiawatha District Picnic at a site to be announced by Ed Plesnar, the District Roundtable Commissioner.

The Hiawatha District Order of the Arrow Chapter will hold their monthly meetings at the same time and same location as the Roundtables.
