Che-Hanna Rock and Mineral club announces dates for annual show

The members of the Che-Hanna Rock and Mineral Club are proud to announce the dates for their 49th annual show. The show will be held on March 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on March 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will take place at the Wysox Fire Hall located at 111 Lake Rd. in Wysox, Pa.

The admission fee is $3 for adults, $1 for students, and ages under eight are admitted free.

The displays will be of great interest. The one case will include a beautiful specimen of blue celestite, which has recently been named Pennsylvania’s state mineral. Another will include fluorescent minerals.

And if you want to see more minerals that glow in the dark, attend UV Bob’s program. There will also be activities for children to participate in. The dealers be on hand to show you their products and to answer your questions.

The club meets on the second Wednesday of each month, September thru November and January thru May, in the cafeteria of the Sayre High School at 7 p.m.

Visit www.chehannarocks.com or contact Bob at (570) 928-8238 for more information about the show or meetings.
