Members from the Owego Dog Owner’s Group (ODOG), recently held a “Share the Love” fundraiser and Valentine’s Day event at the park.
Volunteer members of the Owego Dog Owner’s Group operate and maintain the Rebecca Weitsman Memorial Dog Park, located within Hickories Park in Owego. These members work tirelessly to maintain the grounds, and to provide a safe, fun environment for community dogs to visit for playtime, and for agility.
Hats off to Nancy Eckstrom and many others that keep the park going for all to enjoy. Eckstrom was recently awarded by the Chamber of Commerce for her efforts in bringing the park and its construction to fruition; working with the Town of Owego and with funding from Adam Weitsman in memory of his sister, Rebecca.
