Question: Why does my cat, Buttons, rub his body against my legs when I come into the house?

Answer: Buttons is just saying hi! He is also showing you affection by rubbing his little face against your shins. Kitties have scent glands in their cheeks, so they like to mark different surfaces (and you) to mark them as their property. This is a completely normal and adorable behavior!

Question: My dog, Bentley, loves to run outside and eat grass. Should I stop this? Should I worry?

Answer: Yes and No. Eating grass is normal for some pups, while others just never acquire the taste for it. We start to worry if Bentley is vomiting the grass up multiple times. Sometimes dogs will eat grass to try and help settle their stomach. If you think Bentley is feeling ill, bring him in to see your vet. Make sure the grass Bentley is eating is chemical and excrement free. It won’t hurt Bentley to eat clean, fresh grass and sometimes owners will even buy wheat grass and put a few handfuls into their pup’s kibble.
