A thank you to the angel lady who saw me slip and fall on the ice on Main Street and came to my assistance. Thank you so very much!

Does anybody out there have an address where I can write to the History Channel? I can’t find anything online.

~

Found: two cats – one male and one female, near Riverside Cemetery and on Taylor Avenue in Lounsberry on East River Road. Must identify to claim. Call (607) 759-7467.

The Tioga County Republican Committee recently had a thank you breakfast and I hope they thanked the Tioga County democrats for their lack of leadership, lack of ambition and failure to produce opposing candidates on the ballot.

Disabled Vet needs moving help moving from Owego to Binghamton within the next four to eight weeks (don’t have the exact date yet). I have a small amount of belongings, a full size bed and its foundation, a recliner and an end table, that’s it. A 20 minute drive to Binghamton, 20 minute drive back, about 15 minutes to unload and I’d be happy to compensate you for your time. Both the buildings I’m leaving from and moving to have an elevator and both offer curbside parking. I really need some help. Please contact me at (607) 372-2573.

I want to thank the Owego Highway Department for doing such a great job cleaning up the snow on Maple Lane. Great job and thanks again!

~

FREE: Rug making wool. If interested leave a phone number in this column.

~

A big shout out goes to the OFA drama club for putting on the production of Hello, Dolly. I went to it last Sunday and they really did a fantastic job.

~

I would like to say how much I enjoyed the production of Hello, Dolly, put on by the OFA drama club at the theater. You all did a fabulous job guys!

~

To the gentleman who hit our dog that was running on Front to John Street – it is not your fault, our dog got loose and ran out into the street and thank you for stopping, you are very kind. I just want to say thank you.

In the most recent Berkshire newsletter that gets sent to people, it stated that the code enforcement officer would start getting on people about junk cars sitting on properties with no license plates. Down on Willard Avenue and next to the railroad tracks, there is a house that has at least six cars sitting there. When is the code enforcement officer going to start doing his job?

Give it up already; I’m tired of trying to explain it. The comment never mentioned any poster or all students being at the mall. People need to understand what they are reading. Some don’t.

National Political Viewpoints

It’s been eight days, but he finally recognized that domestic violence is not acceptable. Saying nothing or eight days later sure does speak volumes. We know where his loyalty lies. How very sad.

~

Ya gotta love it. They tried to portray the Obama “administration” as scandal free for eight years. Ha! No doubt one of the most scandal filled “administrations” this country has ever had to suffer through! From the Iran treaty debacle to Susan Rice, and the spying on an opposing political candidate during an election to trying to nullify a legal election for President, the list goes on and on!

~

If Mr. Trump wants to make American great again, have him pick up a hammer, like 94-year-old President Carter.

~

The country is already in debt and Mr. Trump wants to spend millions on a parade with missiles. Guess he wants to compete with North Korea. Maybe someone should let him, that’s why we have Memorial Day; we honor our military with loyalty and remembrance. No tacky missiles.

~

I would submit that Mexico is going to pay for the wall to be built to protect our Southern border. When you consider the businesses leaving Mexico and coming back to the U.S. and the money and jobs those businesses generate, Mexico has indeed paid for the needed wall! Fiat, Chrysler, Ford, Toyota and more, I’m sure.

~

The reader who blames the federal deficit on Obama should realize that the Constitution gives the congress, and only the congress, the right to tax, borrow and spend money.

~

Fake news? I think we have a fake president.

~

I wonder how many Democrats who donate money to the Democratic National Committee know that they are paying CNN, MSNBC, and CBS news people; so why wouldn’t they be against President Trump.

~

Hopefully all of the Democrats will be replaced in this year’s upcoming election. None of them deserve their positions as none of them are interested or are working for the American people. How long would my employer keep me on if I didn’t work at the job I was hired to do? That’s a no brainer, not long.

~

Obama and Hillary want to be and love being in the spotlight. All the fraud and scandals are coming out. I don’t know about you but I can’t follow the stories. There are too many crooked politicians involved.

~

How do you like your 401Ks now? You need to read a little bit, read the newspaper and listen to something besides Fox news.

~

Governor Cuomo never ceases to amaze me on how big of an idiot he is. At election time, please, please vote for the other guy, even if he is Mickey Mouse!

~

I would just like to make a comment on President Trump. I have never seen such goings on in my life. Of all the presidents I’ve known throughout the years, he is the worst! Aren’t we all innocent? Why are you uprooting families? This is just the beginning of the end as far as I am concerned.

~

As a country, I would say we have larger issues to be concerned with than whether Mr. Trump wears a ring. Good grief!

~

At least 12 school shootings so far this year. Now Parkland with 17 dead. Afghanistan is a mess, Syria is ramping up, North Korea is a threat, our infrastructure is crumbling, and we have an opioid crisis. Yet, Trump wants a parade.
