DSS announces Supervisor of the Year

On Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, the Tioga County Department of Social Services (DSS) announced that Jennifer Green was selected as their Supervisor of the Year for 2017.

As a Supervisor, Green is responsible to ensure the safety and well being of children. 

In a press release, DSS stated, “Jen’s interest in her work and her compassion for others is evident when you observe Jen discussing the children and families that the Department is involved with. She not only ensures that children are safe at home, but she is always looking for ways to enhance the lives of the children that come to the Department’s attention.”  

They continued to describe, “Jen has an excellent work ethic and is a great example for her staff. Jen fosters teamwork, is supportive of her staff and strives to bring out the best in them by setting high expectations and motivating them to do their best. Jen exemplifies the DSS Core Values of responsibility, integrity, equality, respect, compassion and excellence. She is a great asset to the Tioga County Department of Social Services.”
