Many thanks to the Lounsberry Methodist Church for a delicious pot roast dinner last Saturday night. It was delicious and we sure appreciated it.

I think we should all agree it’s time for the Owego village to turn the sewer plant over to a private company. Do these people really think they are going to get re-elected? Get real! March is right around the corner!

I say no extension for pistol recertification. My husband re-certified his permit the minute he became aware of the requirements. The paperwork was completed and mailed back in February 2017. The re-cert verification was received in our mail back in March 2017. If people watched the news they’d be informed. I say no special rules for pistol permit owners; they’ve had plenty of time.

I’d just like to give the residents of the Town of Nichols a heads up that the town clerk’s office has new evening hours for everyone’s convenience. They are now open on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m.

Don’t make up stories. Last week’s comment never referenced tens of thousands of students at the mall on Jan. 5. You missed the entire point.

Many thanks to the person who called 911 on Friday, Jan. 12, for the woman parked at CVS in Owego. Your quick action made all the difference in her road to recovery. Also, special thanks to the people at CVS pharmacy for being so kind and helpful. Everyone that day was so amazing and very much appreciated! Thank you so much!

This is about dogs. There’s a leash law and it doesn’t do any good. People let their dogs go, big dogs, little dogs, scare kids, scare adults, they don’t care. They figure their dog is wonderful. Maybe your dog is wonderful to you and to your family, but to strangers they are afraid of these dogs. They need to be more responsible, you can’t just turn them loose and let them crap in others people’s yards, which they do religiously. Take care; there are kids out there. One of these days your little dog or your big dog is going to bite somebody. Will you feel sorry and will you regret it? Probably not, they’ll figure it is their fault, not the dogs. Do something, walk your dogs, or if you want to turn them loose, then stay out there with them and watch them.

There is a respectable family in Campville that likes to upset the Campville and Apalachin area with extremely loud and constant gunfire. You know who you are. It doesn’t bother you to do this to your neighborhood? We know you think you can get away with anything, so you’ve made your point.

Thank you to all of the food pantries. Many people, including myself, would not have enough food without them. Unfortunately every program has those who will abuse it. That does not mean the program should be discontinued, but the abusers should be held accountable. You have to live with your actions and be able to look yourself in the face.

Taxpayers First Party running the Owego Village. Say goodbye, it’s time to go. A 40 percent increase in the sewer rate and the dream of ending the village that’s been around since the civil war? Come on, wake up, it’s time.

I wondered if the readers out there know of anything you can spray or put on your property to keep dogs and cats off of it? Is there something that won’t hurt them that you can put down so they would stop peeing and pooping on your property?

I’m looking for Valentine and Easter scarves to wear around your neck. I can’t seem to find them anywhere. If anyone knows, please call in. Also, I have an idea, when you are at a fast food at the drive up, the best way to give the person change without dropping it on the ground is have them hold a cup out the window and have the driver put the change in the cup.

When I was growing up I was taught not to smoke by my mom and my father, not the government. Where are the parents of people who are smoking?

Last year there was a major explosion in the Town of Tioga. The earth shook, houses and windows rattled, I never heard of any official explanation of what occurred. Does anyone have any additional information on this subject?

With tax season upon us, I was wondering if someone could tell me where I could find some AARP people who will do taxes in the vicinity of either Berkshire or Owego. If you could respond to this column I would appreciate it.

I was wrong saying they should build a wall around Mr. Trump, they should build it around the whole administration!

I don’t know where the caller got their information on HJ Res 69, but it specifically says you may NOT take bears with cubs. It also returns control over Black and Brown Bears, Wolves and Wolverines to the State of Alaska from the Department of Interior.

What is the Bernie / Commie / Leftist’s mantra? “Tax the rich, tax the rich,” (whatever rich is) they must pay their FAIR SHARE (whatever that is)! Trump has done just that. Bernie / Commie / Leftists render unto Trump the praise he is due. He is exposing Cuomo as a double talking buffoon. By changing the tax code Trump is making the New York rich pay more of their FAIR SHARE. New York State won’t lose any money, but now, if Cuomo and DeBlasio raise taxes on the ill-gotten gains of the rich, they and his donors will leave New York. He is trying to find ways his rich brethren can evade paying their FAIR SHARE and impose a payroll tax on you. What a hypocrite?

Mr. Trump, the world is not all about money. And for those who believe he has made such a difference in the stock market and employment rate, remember money does not buy everything. Character, morals and honesty; the man is lacking in these departments.

When Reagan took office the national debt stood at one trillion dollars. Since then, every time the Republicans have controlled congress they have imposed massive tax cuts promising us that we would “grow” our way out of the deficit. Today the debt stands at 20 trillion dollars and they are making the same promise. All that this means is that we will continue to depend upon loans from China to keep us afloat. I have to wonder what happened to those tea party folks who promised no more deficit spending. They apparently drank the Kool-Aid with the rest of the GOP.

I did a Google search on the definition of a Democrat and found this: Refuse to work, feels everything should free be from the government. Believe in free speech unless you have an opposing opinion. They then stage violent protests to shut down the opposing speaker. Believe Donald Trump should be impeached for what he said but have no problem with a sexual predator (Bill Clinton). When they don’t get their way need security blankets, hot chocolate, cuddle puppies and counseling. Fear guns except when illegal immigrants murder American citizens. Are book smart but real world idiots. Care more about “Dreamers” then paying our service members.

What a hoot! All these Hollywood elites, pundits, etc., The View, Jane Fonda, Robert De Niro, you name them. When they go into their anti President Trump rant, they have to READ the remarks. If they were that incensed and upset, wouldn’t you think it would be in their heart and mind what to say? Leads me to believe there is someone / people who are making a business out of writing this trash and grabbing onto the “it’s the in thing to do” routine that the Left so often gets side tracked with because it’s all emotion, no logic!

What I’d like to say about Donald Trump is, like they say, the bigger they are the harder they fall.

Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive. If Hillary had won we would have never known how corrupt some politicians are, the past administration, the justice system and the FBI. The cesspool just keeps getting larger and larger. For the sake of our Republic, justice is just an orange colored wardrobe.

Those who did not vote for Trump are now saying they like his policies and they love how their 401K’s are looking. Finally the other half is realizing President Trump was the right choice. So, in response, those of you with so called common sense need to pay attention to the economy, the job creation, your 401K’s, and consumer confidence, all at all time highs, low unemployment. Do we have to tell you everything? If so, I’m so glad I don’t have any common sense.

President Trump was triumphant at the world economic conference in Davos, Switzerland and was cheered by the leaders of the world’s economies like a rock star. The fake news media was dumb founded by Trump’s most excellent reception and by the WEC founder who noted our great president’s bias reporting by the fake news media. Way to go Mr. President!

So when will we know about how Judge Jeanine Pirro’s 119mph case is settled? Or does it get swept under the rug because she’s a celebrity and former politician?

Fake news alert! The New York Times reports an old story about President Trump wanting to fire Mueller – exactly when the FBI corruption story is reaching a peak. President Trump can fire Mueller anytime he wants, no one can dispute that. We know the FBI, under Comey, exonerated and helped Hillary before reviewing all the evidence because they thought she would be president for sure and would seek retribution if the FBI told the truth about her illegal activities involving government secrets and her illegal servers. They even destroyed evidence for Hillary. End of story.

I do not believe the fake news network; I listen to Sean Hannity on 1290AM every day. He tells the truth.

Right to life, since when did Trump care about that? Trump is a porn star; only Daniels didn’t get pregnant by him. I wish Stormy got a million dollars in hush money. The Evangelicals could have even donated some to Stormy. Pence is as crooked as ever, you can tell by watching him when he’s questioned, especially about Russia or anything. You can’t be the vice president and not know what’s going on. Go get them Mueller!

Apparently Trump is above the law. If he gets away with all this, I too will start breaking the law left and right.

I just can’t for the life of me understand why anybody would support Donald Trump. The man is an ignorant pig.

The headline on page 24 of this week’s Pennysaver made me laugh. Cuomo encourages New Yorkers and visitors to get outdoors and enjoy winter on state lands. When should I do this after working as many hours as I have to, to maintain my high New York taxes? I have no time. We’re not all rich like he is. But it figures because he’s a Democrat.

President Trump just gave a speech of a lifetime, but the Democrat losers like Schumer and Pelosi looked they had swallowed a dozen lemons. The truth of Trump’s superiority to the Democrat buffoons was obvious for all to see and hear.

The Pentagon said two and a half years ago that it would take 50 years to defeat Isis in Afghanistan. President Obama said it would be hard to defeat Isis so we’re going to try to just contain them in Afghanistan. Here comes a New York businessman with no military experience named Donald J. Trump, and in 13 months he wipes out Isis almost 100 percent and 100 percent out of Afghanistan. Why were the Pentagon and Obama so wrong on Isis and the so-called idiot Donald Trump wiped out Isis? I think you called the wrong person an idiot.

I think it’s a shame; all the king’s horses and all the king’s men couldn’t put Hillary in the White House again.
