The 2017 Sayre Turkey Trot, hosted by the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary, raised $13,000 and hosted more than 1,000 registered runners.
The Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary presented proceeds from the 2017 Turkey Trot to representatives from Bradford County backpack programs, which provide packs of food to children in need to bring home on Fridays and before holiday breaks from school.
Recipients included the Athens Food for Thought Program, Canton Warrior Weekender Program, Northeast Bradford Weekend Backpack Program and Wyalusing Weekend Backpack Program.
Guthrie is a non-profit integrated health system located in north central Pennsylvania and upstate New York, serving patients from an 11-county service area. Guthrie is a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, and is the first health system based in Pennsylvania and New York to join this network.
