TEAM Tioga established in Tioga County

The Tioga County Department of Economic Development and Planning (EDP), Tioga County Industrial Development Agency (IDA), and the Tioga County Local Development Corporation (LDC) unveiled their new look, brand and name last week. 

The three organizations are now known simply as TEAM Tioga. 

“Before TEAM Tioga, people only referred to us individually,” said LeeAnn Tinney, director of Tioga County EDP, adding, “Although we are known as different entities, we collaborate on so many projects that the lines tend to blur. This made us wonder, why not identify ourselves as one team?” 

Madison Tinney, a Freelance Graphic Designer located in the Owego area, developed the new brand strategy for the organizations. In November, TEAM Tioga selected Tinney to develop a comprehensive branding and marketing strategy. 

Elements of the strategy include a cohesive TEAM Tioga identity, as well as a social media and advertising campaign to enhance awareness of economic development activities in our local community and across the region. 

According to Bryant Myers, executive director of the Tioga County IDA, “Together we all have the same mission to strengthen the Tioga County economy. TEAM Tioga provides the resources, funding opportunities and contacts that will help our businesses grow.” 

Rebecca Maffei, director of Tioga County Tourism, added, “TEAM Tioga will make it easier for the community to find the resources they need. No matter what your business may be, we will connect you with the right person. We work for you.” 

TEAM Tioga’s Facebook page launched earlier this week. They will also be sharing the new brand and logo at the Tioga Chamber Annual Dinner Meeting planned for Feb. 15, from 5 to 9 p.m. 

Gwen Kania, president and CEO of the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce, stated, “The Chamber is proud to be a Team Tioga partner, and we would like to invite the businesses and the community to partner with them as well.”
