The Tioga Central School District (CSD) will be adding a Hoop House to the school garden in 2018. This project will be funded by a grant from the Floyd Hooker Youth Fund at the Community Foundation for the Twin Tiers, made possible by generous donors since 2003.
A Hoop House will allow year-round educational opportunities and production of food to be served in school cafeterias.
This project will be incorporated into a strategic plan currently being developed by the Tiger Farm Steering Committee comprised of Tioga CSD staff, community volunteers, agency partners and student members of the Agriculture Club.
The community is encouraged to participate in the development of this plan by completing a survey located on the district website, www.tiogacentral.org.
