Tioga Downs to ring in 2018 with New Year’s Eve Bash

Tioga Downs is excited to invite the community to a New Year’s Eve celebration on Sunday, Dec. 31, at their Nichols, N.Y. casino. The party kicks off at 12 p.m. and continues until 2 a.m.  

This New Year’s Eve will be yet another celebration of firsts, as this is the first year that the hotel at Tioga Downs and new amenities, like P.J. Clarke’s restaurant and the AgeLess Spa, are open for guests to enjoy.

This very special New Year’s Eve party has free admission and an abundance of entertainment, including live music for everyone to enjoy. 

From 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., Virgil Cain will rock the Tioga Main Stage, while Lando On Fire takes the Virgil’s stage, and Wreckless Marci performs at the Sideshow Lounge. 

Tioga Downs will be hosting a New Year’s Eve Buffet from 4 to 11 p.m. The buffet will offer a variety of entrée selections, side dishes, cold selections as well as a carving station.  

All guests age 21 and older will be treated to a champagne toast at midnight if they are gambling and complimentary 2018 party favors. The famed Times Square ball drop will be televised throughout the property. 

A New Year’s Day brunch will be held at the County Fair Buffet from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. 

“Last year’s New Year’s Eve celebration was our biggest and best so far. This year, we’re expecting record crowds and looking forward to topping last year’s party,” said Jeff Gural, chairman of American Racing and Entertainment, LLC.

He added, “We’re closing out 2017 with a bang with our luxurious new hotel and many other amenities. Tioga Downs had plenty to celebrate in 2017, and we’re excited for an even better 2018.”

Since opening the new casino in December 2016, Tioga Downs has expanded its gaming offerings to include 944 slot machines, 23 table games and a luxurious 12-table poker room, which is now affiliated with the World Series of Poker.  

The new Tioga Downs Hotel, which spans six stories and boasts 161 rooms, an events center and many other exciting amenities, officially opened in December 2017.
