Have a great holiday and keep your pets safe! Use these delicious treats to spoil your fuzzy loved ones!

Scrumptious Holiday Dog Biscuits

Combine 1 cup of canned pumpkin, 1/2-cup peanut butter, 2 eggs and 1/4 cup of coconut or canola oil in a large mixing bowl. Add 2 1/2 cups of whole-wheat flour and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Knead dough and roll it out to 1/2 inch thick with a rolling pin. Use a small cookie cutter to make fun shapes or mold onto little buttons! Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Limit your pooch to two small biscuits a day!

To add a little something extra to these treats, whisk together 2 tablespoons of peanut butter with 1 tablespoon of a fat that will solidify at room temperature like coconut oil, chicken fat or even little bit of bacon grease. (Be sure to use very little!) Drizzle this glaze over the baked treats and let it harden in the fridge or freezer.

Frisky Kitty Cookies

In a food processor combine 1 can of tuna or salmon in oil (drained), 1 egg, 1 1/4 cups of flour, 1/2 cup of water or low sodium chicken broth and a dash of dry parsley or catnip leaves. Once combined, roll out the dough to 1/2 inch thick with a rolling pin.

Use cookie cutter shapes or even a bottle cap to cut out small treats for your kitty. Lay out on parchment paper and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Let cool and spoil your kitty! Limit your kitty to two cookies a day!
