Can anyone tell me who to contact regarding the proposed development of a tiny house commune in the Spencer / Tioga area. This is a great idea for self sufficient off the grid living. Shared ownership. I don’t know the area well. It’s supposed to be off Halsey Valley Road and Owl Creek.

After reading the editorial from Mark Trabucco, I took the challenge. I drove by 51 Front St. to look at this shameful shed on the property. You have to come to a stop to even see it down the long driveway. So, it has T111 on it (how shameful), actually I thought it looked GREAT! It looks very much like board and batten would look if they nailed some strips on it. Take a better look around Historic Owego, notice all the empty storefronts and business’ closing in Owego. Why not try to attract people to Owego. Why not try to bring in more jobs? Fight the drug traffic that is taking over Owego! Before long, at this rate, Owego will not only be Historic, it will be HISTORY!

To all women making harassment charges, false or otherwise, if I were an employer I would not hire you or if you were in my employ, I would watch you like a hawk and find a way to put you in the unemployment line. You are doing a disservice to young, hardworking women. Employers may think twice and hire men first.

Would someone please tell us why helicopters are flying over so very low in the early evening at least once a week? Tonight they flew over, last week there were several that flew over. What’s it all about?

I say the school year should run from March through December. This would eliminate some school breaks not to mention all the snow days. Christmas break, Martin Luther Day, President’s Day, our kids would not need those. Our kids belong in school. It is so obvious they belong in school learning all they can.

The women of the Moose would like to thank Toys for Tots, The Family Reading Partnership, Santa, and all the volunteers who helped make the Moose Children’s Christmas Party such a success! Thank you again, many hands made a wonderful day.

I beg to differ, but Happy Holidays misses the whole reason for the season. I can see some people are just as ignorant as a lot of others. Get with it already, wise up!

I live on Temple Street in Owego, I am interested in someone for this coming winter to do snow removal. It would consist of my driveway going into Temple street, making sure my wife’s car in the street can get out and approximately 75 feet or so of the sidewalk. If interested, call Chris at (607) 725-0531. I would like to make arrangements to pay on a monthly basis.

I would like to see the Town of Owego begin placing “no littering” signs along some of our roads. Davis Hill for example seems to be the dumping trail for many fast food wrappings, beer and soda cans. It is not only unsightly and disrespectful, but it is dangerous. I frequently see wild animals and birds eating that garbage and being hit by oncoming traffic. Littering is a hazardous and law breaking act. Please carry a plastic bag in your own vehicle so you can use it to dispose of your own garbage when you get to your home. Your cooperation in obeying the law could save a life.

According to information obtained by Judicial Watch, taxpayers of New York State are being taxed $7.4 billion a year (yeah, that’s with a B) to supply the needs of our illegal alien population. That goes for food, education, healthcare, housing, law enforcement, etc. Much coming from money that was intended to provide aid for legal, tax paying low-income citizens. I don’t know about anyone else, but I think this is uncalled for, to put it mildly, and needs to be stopped. I suggest we contact Albany and make them aware of our displeasure!

Paul Ryan has heartfelt sympathy for the persons affected by the tragic train accident in Pierce County, Washington. Maybe he will reconsider cutting funding for AMTRAK. He cut funding in 2008 under Bush and recently under Trump. Maybe a $1.5 Trillion tax cut and $1 Trillion deficit is short sighted, we should be investing in our country, not in the top 1 percent who will invest in themselves and their stock holders.

Let’s test the resolve of the NFL players who insist on this silly, spoiled brat nonsense of taking a knee during the playing of the National Anthem. Let them play or not, according to their wishes, but if they don’t play, they hit the showers and are not paid for that game. Think many would persist? I bet not for long.

The United States Senate tax overhaul bill will give 60 percent of its tax breaks to the richest 1 percent, increase taxes on 87 million middle-class Americans, and trigger $25 billion a year in automatic cuts to Medicare ($400 billion over 10 years).

Well the GOP controlled FCC just voted to end net neutrality along a party line vote (3-2). FCC Chairman, Ajit Pia, Trump’s hand picked industry shill (he worked for Verizon) pushed for the repeal. If you rely on the Internet for anything you are now in for a big surprise – your Internet costs are about to skyrocket – that is if you will be able to get it at all. If you thought Verizon and Spectrum were bad before, just hold on to your wallet, you haven’t seen anything yet. The Republican Party has sunk so low it is hard to imagine it getting any lower, but somehow they manage to go even lower by supporting a child molester to be a Senator, putting party and big business ahead of country and interests of the common man as can be seen in the new Tax cut bill that is about to be passed. The current batch of Trump’s hand picked lackeys are systematically destroying everything from Education (Betsy DeVos) to the Environment (Scott Pruitt and Ryan Zinke) and doing so with glee. The oil pipeline that Trump so proudly pushed and cleared for construction has already dumped over 240,000 gallons of oil and more spills will happen. So to all you proud Trumpsters, I hope you’re happy that the country is going to Hell in a hand basket; may you reap what you have sown, it’s just too bad the rest of us who didn’t vote for that imbecile will also have to suffer.

It appears there are some rotten applies in the department of justice (injustice) in the FBI who will do anything to remove Trump regardless of the election results. We need an outside investigation into the Department of Justice, the FBI, Hillary Clinton, The Clinton Foundation and the Obama Administration. Something is terribly wrong and it needs to be made transparent.

Do not believe everything you hear on the TV or read. Journalism is dead. When news reports are giving out false information without investigating resources.

Doesn’t it seem good to have a nice looking First Lady in the White House?

Stock market is on fire, the economy is roaring and not one Democrat voted for it. I can only hope the American people realize and remember this when they go to the polls. I hope they won’t act stupidly and vote more Democrats in. The Democrats would have loved this type of economy but they could not achieve it because as they are not capable.

I’m sure most Pennysaver readers would like to take this opportunity to wish our great President Trump and Congressman Reed a thank you for taking on the mess left by Obama and solving the great problems affecting our society. The economy is booming, the stock market and your retirement accounts are going up, up, up and we will have a terrific tax decrease soon. We have a new traditionalist Supreme Court Judge and more to come. Isis has been clearing defeated in Iraq by Trump’s new philosophy of winning. Yes indeed, a very Merry Christmas to all, even to the few sad sourpuss Marxist Democrat losers!

Trump has been very, very quiet for the past few months. I have a feeling he’s shaking in his boots with Mueller’s investigation. You could tell by his face and you can tell he’s either afraid or he lied. Also, did you know if a LLC or INC isn’t in your last name, the tax break is not for the middle class?

Hey, here is a question for everyone, and Merry Christmas too. Is Trump’s wife in the family way? I’m just putting it nicely, it’s not what I really wanted to say but there’s been a rumor there is a belly bump and with this ungodly outfits she’s been wearing, it makes her look like a walking tent! A camouflage tent at that! You guys have a wonderful holiday and thanks for putting up with me.

Trump on the new tax bill, I’ve seen it, it’s very, very good. It didn’t say read it, I’m sure an aide showed him where he will save a million dollars. That’s all he cares about.

Who is going to pay for Trump’s big idea of a billion dollar embassy in Great Britain?

Our great President Trump just gave a speech every loyal American can support. Our new America First security policy will be based on patriotism, national strength, prosperity and pride, not internationalism first, higher taxes and more poverty and weakening our economic and military strength as we have seen during the miserable eight year Obama regime. We can be proud Americans once again thanks to the best president since Dwight Eisenhower. Happy New Year!

It seems like every time I put on my television President Trump is making a brilliant speech about making America great again. What a breath of fresh air! Obama was never on as he was out golfing and vacationing all the time. Go Trump!

Now we have President Trump in the White House, now he is saying Merry Christmas. With the previous president he would never say Merry Christmas. Was that because he was a Muslim?
