Come help Abigail Dove, a junior at Owego Free Academy, raise money for her trip to Europe this summer with the American Music Abroad Band and Chorus.  She will play the flute and sing in six countries during the month of July, spreading hope, love and peace through music.

Put yourself in the perfect holiday spirit by attending an afternoon of music with the Dove Family Musicians at the First Presbyterian Union Church in Owego, on Dec. 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. 

After listening to a variety of string quintet music, flute / organ duets, piano / cello / voice trios and violin duets, join them for dessert and coffee along with a Chinese Auction with over 50 items donated by local businesses and friends. 

Tickets for $1.00, $5.00 and $10.00, as well as a 50/50 raffle tickets, will be available for chances to win.

The following businesses have donated items and gift certificates to support Abigail’s fundraiser: Ye Olde Country Florist, Ahwaga Paint & Floor Covering, Owego Original Italian Pizza, Tioga Trails Cafe, Calaboose Grill, Kam Fung Chinese Restaurant, Ernesto’s Diner, Courtryard Gifts, Kathy’s Korner Gift Shop – Candor, Candor Market, Blue Dolphin Restaurant, Style Is Everything – Hair Salon – Corning, Tioga Gardens, Hen’s Teeth Primitives, The Left Bank, Katie’s Kreations, Sincerely Yours Greeting Cards and Gifts, The Kitchen Store Inc., and Up the Creek Ladies Consignment Boutique.  

Christmas cookies, cupcakes, and sticky buns will also be available for sale to help you prepare for holiday parties and festivities.  

You can also take a chance at winning a $250 car starter complete with installation; a $150 painting matted and framed by local artist Hal Sisson, a $100 tablet, and many other gift certificates, new products and gift baskets.
