Paige Street resident arrested following police pursuit in Owego

On Nov. 6, the Owego Police Department was notified that Peter P. Finch, age 28 of 69 Paige St. in Owego, whom they had been attempting to locate, was seen entering his mother’s home at 55 Spencer Ave.

According to the Owego Police Department, they responded to the residence, but Flinch fled out of the rear door of the house.

Police explained that Finch ran several blocks while being pursued by the officers, and that while running through the yards on Paige Street, Finch was observed dumping a large amount of marijuana from a plastic bag.

Police were finally able to apprehend Finch in a garage behind 64 Paige St. Police also located more than two ounces of marijuana dumped on a lawn on Paige Street.

Subsequently, Finch was charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, Resisting Arrest, and two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the fifth degree – methamphetamine and Unlawful Imprisonment from a previous complaint.

Finch was arraigned in the Owego Village Court and was remanded to the Tioga County Jail without bail.
