On Friday, Oct. 20, the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce will host two separate ribbon-cutting ceremonies in Owego.
On Friday, at 9 a.m., the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce will announce the new ownership with a ribbon cutting ceremony for Shear Paradise, located at 56 North Ave. in Owego. All are welcome to attend. They will be offering refreshments and celebration toasts all day.
The new owner at Shear Paradise, Jennifer Shaw, has been a stylist at the Salon for the past 16 years and is thrilled to carry on the business with a new generation spin. Shaw’s goals are to continue Shear Paradise with the same values and quality of service that it has always been known to be.

At 2 p.m. on Friday, the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting for The Party Brush – Paint & Sip Studio. The event will take place at 186 Front St. in Owego.
The Party Brush is a locally owned and operated Paint & Sip studio, featuring a variety of hands-on painting classes and events. The studio offers the space to host your own private painting party, as well as weekly classes open to all.
Painting classes are offered for anything from kids’ parties to couples date nights and even Paint Your Pet and glass paintings. It’s the perfect place for a birthday party, teambuilding event, family get-together, bachelorette party, or just a fun night out.
