Owego man arrested for burglary

On Oct. 15, 2017, at approximately 7:11 p.m., the Owego Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance on North Avenue in the Village of Owego. Patrol located two subjects who had been assaulted.

The Owego Emergency Squad was summoned to the scene and treated the victims’ injuries. The suspect was located a short time later.

As a result of the Investigation it was determined that Joseph Bauman, age 55 of Owego, had entered the residence of one of the victims, assaulted both subjects and did damage inside the apartment.

As a result, Bauman was arrested for Burglary in the second degree, a class C Felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Nichols court and remanded to the Tioga County Jail in lieu $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.
