Celebrate the season with O Tannenbaum

Celebrate the season with O Tannenbaum

The Tioga History Museum opens the annual O Tannenbaum Holiday Fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 4 at 10 a.m. This year’s event theme is “A Farmhouse Christmas”, and you are invited to visit and bid on the more than 100 trees, wreaths, and other items up for silent auction.

O Tannenbaum is a special time for children, adults, families, organizations and businesses to experience friendship, camaraderie, and the joy of the season. Visitors will enjoy musical performances from Rick Pedro, Daphne Braden and Marian Tewksbury, Friday at Fred’s, Deanna Perkowski and student, and much more. Activities include wood carving demonstrations, children’s activities, and a display of antique toys.

Children can write and mail letters to Santa – and receive responses in the mail – and even visit him when he stops by the museum. And don’t forget to stop by the gift shop for all your holiday gift-giving needs.

There is something for everyone to enjoy at O Tannenbaum. All proceeds directly benefit the Tioga History Museum.

The event runs Nov. 14 through Dec. 16, Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The museum will be closed on Nov. 22 and 23 for Thanksgiving.
