Bernie Fest to benefit Alzheimer’s Association

On Sept. 30, at 1 p.m., Bernie Fest, an annual event held to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of Bernadine M. Tuthill, will take place at Endwell Greens Golf Course at 1 p.m.

Bernie was a wife, mother, sister, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many people. Bernie first started showing symptoms of Lewy Body Dementia in 2010. On Feb. 28, 2015, and after a five-year fight, she lost her battle with this disease.

The purpose of the event is to help raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association in their quest to one day make Alzheimer’s forget it ever existed.

The Bernie Fest is a kid friendly, family friendly event with bands starting at 2 p.m. and going through out the day; there will be basket raffles, 50/50’s, door prizes, and plenty of food available for purchase.
