Brothers for the Cross, a faith-based men’s group associated with the Apalachin United Methodist Church (UMC) and a local chapter of the United Methodist Men (UMM), along with other local partner churches, made a generous donation of $1,000 at a check presentation on Sept. 15 to Kali’s Klubhouse at Fargnoli Farms, located at 4041 Pennsylvania Ave. in Apalachin, N.Y.

The Tioga County Chamber of Commerce coordinated the presentation.

Linda Fargnoli, executive director of Fargnoli Farms, shared, “Horses are amazing healers, and this donation will be useful toward more services.”

Kali’s Klubhouse is a non-profit organization that provides equine-assisted learning to individuals with social, emotional and physical challenges, to youth who are struggling, as well as to veterans, and makes visits to senior living centers. The organization is powered by a team of volunteers, therapists and equine specialists.

Privately owned and operated, Fargnoli Farms is a boarding facility, and via Kali’s Klubhouse, touches lives and inspires the growth and empowerment of individuals via the unconditional love from the horses.

The UMM held a successful car show in June of this year, and, in addition to Kali’s Klubhouse, the UMM Steering Committee recommended the distribution of fundraising proceeds to several other organizations; to include, the Society of St. Andrew and the Tioga Terrace Food bank, both of which donate food to families in need, the Apalachin Fire Dept. for their support of using the Field Day grounds for the car show, as well as Lourdes Hospital for helping cancer patients with travel expenses and Truth Pharm, which supports families and addicts of opioid addiction.
