Mildred Faulkner Truman grant awarded to Lions Camp Badger

Lions Camp Badger has received a $2,500 grant from the Mildred Faulkner Truman Foundation to develop vocational education opportunities for their summer 2018 camp.  

Operated through the Empire State Special Needs Experience, Inc., Lions Camp Badger offers overnight summer programs for individuals ages 12-senior with intellectual disabilities / functional differences and emotional / behavioral challenges.  

According to a press release, this grant will provide materials to develop vocational training opportunities for campers in the areas of food preparation, housekeeping, horticulture, furniture refinishing and greeting card manufacturing.
