September is ‘Hunger Action Month’

Catholic Charities Tompkins / Tioga Outreach Center is holding a food drive at several locations from Sept. 13 to Sept. 22 to help combat hunger. 

Bins will be located at the Department of Social Services, Hollenbeck’s in Newark Valley, Lawler’s Grocery Store in Owego, Spencer Surefine, Price Chopper in Owego, at the Tioga County Office Building located at 56 Main St. in Owego, and at Porter’s Concrete & Cement.  

Catholic Charities serves all of Tioga County in their food pantry and clothing closet. They also have a person to help SNAP applicants and an employment services counselor to assist in job hunting.
