Olum’s held a “Kid’s Day” at their Campus Plaza, Vestal location on Saturday, Aug. 19 and in conjunction with their sponsors, Staples and the Whirlpool Corporation.
During the day, Olum’s gave away backpacks filled with back to school supplies to the first 350 kids. The backpacks were filled with items such as notebooks, folders, pencils, pens and more.
Olum’s also had several activities for the children to enjoy, including animals from Ross Park Zoomobile, Baxter the Bearcat, Rowdy the Rumble Pony, CarTOONicatures by Russ the BIG Guy, Face Painting by Jennifer Sekella, Fairbanks Karate, Binghamton Figure Skating Club, Cub Scout Troop 244, Chenango Gymnastics, Horizons FCU, a Vestal Fire Department fire truck and much more.
Olum’s, an employee-owned company, operates two stores in the Greater Binghamton area and has been a major furniture, appliance and electronics retailer since 1914. They also own and operate two Olum’s stores in Syracuse.
