Scoville-Meno Family of Dealerships adds donations to children’s food drive

The Scoville-Meno Family of Dealerships launched a summer food drive at its locations in Owego, Bainbridge, Sidney, and Owego on July 1. During August, the dealership group will add a $25 donation for every car sold to local food panties.

“The number of children who spend the summer months without a dependable meal, in our region, is extraordinary,” said Scoville-Meno President Stephen Scoville. “We’ve already had many people stop by our dealerships and we encourage more to do so. We also thought it important to provide an extra donation, for every vehicle sold, on behalf of the Scoville-Meno Family of Dealerships.”

Visitors to Scoville-Meno are encouraged to bring in non-perishable food items for children, particularly cereal, peanut butter and jelly and juice boxes. Contributors will receive a coupon for a free car wash.

Town Square Media will provide announcements directing listeners to bring food to the dealerships. The food drive will last through Labor Day.

The Scoville-Meno Family of Dealerships includes four area dealerships: Scoville-Meno Auto Plaza in Owego, a GM dealership; Scoville-Meno Chevrolet-GMC, in Bainbridge; Scoville-Meno Dodge – Chrysler – Jeep in Sidney; and Scoville-Meno Honda in Oneonta, N.Y.
