Two educational programs on dementia at the Berkshire Free Library

The Alzheimer’s Association continues its series of programs on dementia from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23 at the Berkshire Free Library, located on Route 38 at the corner of Jewett Hill Road. 

“Dementia Conversations” will offer tips on how to have honest and caring conversations with family members about going to the doctor, deciding when to stop driving, and making legal and financial plans. To register for this program, call (607) 330-1647 ext 100.

A second program will be offered on Sept. 7 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. entitled “Understanding and Responding to Dementia-related Behavior”. To register for this program, call (607) 785-7852 ext 100.

Registration is required at least five days before the program date because programs with minimum registrations will be cancelled. If you do not register, you are still welcome to attend, but please call (800) 272-3900 to confirm that the program is still scheduled.
