Man arrested and charged with burglary and assault in Front Street stabbing incident

On Aug. 7, 2017 at 1:28 a.m., the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office investigated an Emergency 911 call reporting a stabbing in Owego, N.Y.

Based upon the investigation, the Sheriff’s Office alleges that Andrew L. Tucker unlawfully entered an apartment on Front Street in the Village of Owego and assaulted the adult male occupant with a knife. The victim was treated at Wilson Hospital and released.

Andrew L. Tucker, age 24 of Liberty Street, Owego, N.Y. was arrested and charged with two felonies; Burglary in the first degree and Assault and the first degree.

Andrew L. Tucker was arraigned before Justice Swartz in Candor, N.Y. and remanded to the Tioga County Jail in lieu of $200,000 cash or $400,000 bond. His next scheduled appearance is Aug. 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Village of Owego Court.
