Animal Adventure Park, home of April, Oliver and Tajiri, is now home to the Whitney Point alligator that was reported as being spotted, locally, and then captured on Saturday afternoon by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. The alligator was captured behind the fairgrounds in Whitney Point.

Over the past week, the New York State DEC has been investigating the possibility of an alligator on the loose in Broome County. Reports of alligator sightings in the Whitney Point area began to swarm social media last weekend.

Now, the alligator has been placed permanently at Animal Adventure Park and will enter into quarantine immediately, and then placed on exhibit.

“Animal education and appreciation is our top priority at Animal Adventure Park,” Jordan Patch, owner of Animal Adventure, said. “We are thrilled to be able to provide this animal with a safe, appropriate environment and the home it deserves.”

Animal Adventure is an interactive, educational animal park located in the hills of Harpursville, N.Y., which is 15 minutes outside of Binghamton, N.Y. They are currently open seven days a week for the 2017 season.
