Author Blair Kenny will be at Riverow Bookshop, located at 187 Front St. in Owego, N.Y. on July 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. to present and sign his release of “The Rochester Mob Wars”. This book signing will also be taking place during Owego’s First Friday Art Walk.
The book highlights decades of history of the Rochester Mafia, and contains reports from the Senate hearings and approximately 1,000 newspaper articles that chronicle activity of mob activity in and around Rochester, N.Y.
As we approach the 60th Anniversary of the Apalachin Summit in Apalachin, N.Y., readers will also find information on the connections between those in attendance at the Summit and the Rochester Mafia and its hierarchy.
In his forward, Kenny writes that The Rochester Mob Wars is the result of researching the Rochester Mafia and its influence on organized labor. The book was derived entirely from two Senate hearings; many court documents, and approximately 1,000 newspaper articles.
Kenny continued to describe his work, stating that when the information is presented in a chronological fashion, it creates a clear picture of the Rochester Mafia and all of their activities over a 40 year time period.
Gaining in popularity thus far, Kenny has already received orders for this book that has sparked interest in the documented history of the Rochester mob, and its affiliated activities.
On July 7, Kenny will be available at Riverow Bookshop with his book, and will be available for questions and signings.
