Apalachin Library is sponsoring a community read

Free? Stories about Human Rights compiled by Amnesty International is the book that the Apalachin Library is offering as a community read. Anyone who is 10 or older and is concerned about human rights is invited to take part.

After everyone has had time to read, there will be one meeting to discuss the book on Aug. 21, at 7 p.m. at the library located at 719 Main St. in Apalachin.

This book is an anthology of short stories by writers from around the world. The stories relate to human rights that many people are still denied.

Stop in the library for a copy of the book that you can keep or pass on to others.

The Myrtle Dee Nash Memorial Fund of the Community Foundation of Tompkins County generously funds the community read.
