Patricia Reichert announces candidacy for Candor Board Council

Patricia (Patti) Reichert has announced her candidacy for Town of Candor Board Council. Reichert is currently co-chairperson on the Candor Town Planning Board, where she has been a member since 2009.

Reichert is a 1980 graduate from Candor and has remained active in her community. She is a lifetime member of Arden Kelsey Unit 907 Auxiliary, where she has held officer positions in the unit, county and district.

She has chaired such events as the July 4 parade / carnival / fireworks and chicken BBQ. She has also volunteered to head up the craft fair during the Candor Fall Festival for 10 years, the annual Veterans Day Open House and the Auxiliary’s bi-annual roadside cleanup. Other events she has assisted in include the Veterans Walkathon and St. Baldrick’s Foundation fundraiser as treasurer.

Reichert belongs to the Caroline Center Church, is an active member of the Candor Valley Riders Snowmobile Club and attended the organizational meetings for the Candor Forward, Onward, Upward group that was recently formed.

Reichert has had an interest in participating in the town’s government since joining the Planning Board. In July she will be retiring with over 30 years’ experience in finance and business management. She feels this is the opportune time to get involved at the next level by becoming a Town Board council member.

If elected to the Town Board, Patti stated that her goal “will be to maintain the efficient manner in which the town is operated that residents have come to expect, as well as be prepared for the ever changing challenges presented while maintaining an affordable tax rate”.

Reichert hopes she can count on your vote in the September Republican primaries.
