A late night thunderstorm on Sunday knocked out power lines and uprooted trees throughout the Village of Owego, N.Y.
Crews from NYSEG, Verizon, and others were out repairing poles and clearing trees throughout the evening and into the morning. The storm left approximately 500 residents without power.
Streets affected by tree damage included East Temple, Erie, Forsythe, Fox and Franklin. Main and Paige Street were also hit hard, with live power lines visible in the road following the storm, and a sidewalk was buckled from a tree that uprooted.
Most residents were restored to power by 1 p.m. on Monday.
