“Celebrating Pet Ownership” is the theme for the Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA’s annual Summer Open House. The event will be held Saturday, June 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Stray Haven, located at 194 Shepard Rd. in Barton.
Join Stray Haven as they celebrate 50 years of serving the community. They are welcoming members, and will host their membership meeting at 3:30 p.m. for those interested in learning more.
The Summer Open House is a free, family-friendly event featuring tours of the facility, refreshments and fun, and family friendly activities focused on pet ownership. Meet the staff and board members, and learn about volunteer opportunities that range from fostering kittens, to serving as an adoption ambassador.
Stray Haven has invited local pet-oriented businesses to join them; showcasing the many ways you can enjoy life at home with your pets.
The Summer Lovin’ Adoption Promotion offers reduced adoption fees to help shelter pets find their forever home. Meet adoptable dogs and cats, and learn more about Stray Haven’s activities in the community and how you can make a difference with them.
