Kelli L. Huggins, education coordinator at the Chemung County Historical Society, will be discussing and signing copies of her new book, Curiosities of Elmira, at Riverow Bookshop in Owego on Friday, June 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. and during the First Friday Art Walk.
Huggins promises to take readers on a journey through the curious and unique past of Elmira, N.Y., which features famous figures like Theodore Roosevelt and Anthony Comstock, as well as fascinating local people who were world-famous in their own time but who have since been forgotten.
