Training participants share information about community resources for families during a Web of Connections learning activity.

Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) of Tioga County hosted “Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening and Support” certification training on April 19. The “Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening Support” is promoted by the National Family Strengthening Network as a tool for planning, providing, and assessing quality practice.  

The New York State Children and Families Trust Fund administered by OCFS has adopted the Standards. As a grant recipient of the Trust Fund, CCE Tioga Family Resource Centers program is utilizing the Standards as well as providing certification training to others. 

The following individuals received certification valid for two years: Wales Brown, Northeast Parent & Child Society; Tammy Campbell, CCE Tioga; Cindi Conway, CCE Broome; DeAnna Croteau, CCE Livingston; Janielle Franzenburg, A New Hope Center; Kara Georgi, NYS Office of Children & Family Services; Denise Hicks, CCE Tioga; Hailey Hoffman, Lourdes PACT; Kelly Mabee, CCE Broome; Lauran Murphy, Tioga County DSS; Nicole Norris, CCE Tioga; Amanda Root, CCE Jefferson; Joan Shultz, CCE Tioga; Cheryl Vis, CCE Tompkins; and Megan Weed, Tioga County DSS.
