Waterman Conservation Education Center presents ‘New York Forests’

On Saturday, April 15 at 1 p.m., Jerry Michael will present on New York Forests. The presentation will provide a brief history of New York forests and the challenges faced.

Studies by Cornell University and the Nature Conservancy have indicated that up to 70 percent of New York’s woodlands are endangered by critical forest health issues. Without timely and comprehensive action, many of the environmental and economic benefits of our forests will be denied to future generations.

The presentation will take place at Waterman Conservation Education Center located at 403 Hilton Rd. in Apalachin.

To register for the presentation, contact Waterman Conservation Education Center by calling 625-2221 or by email to info@watermancenter.org. The presentation is free to members and all ages are welcome. The cost for non-members is $3.
