Eggstravaganza at the Binghamton Zoo

Eggstravaganza at the Binghamton Zoo

Spring is here, and so is Binghamton Ross Park Zoo’s Eggstravaganza, planned for April 15 and 16. This egg hunt is a “go at your own pace” activity and is perfect for all ages.

Guests will start at the ticket booth and make their way around the zoo to find five different colored eggs. There are plenty for everyone. Children will be able to redeem these eggs for candy and prizes at the end of their visit. No need to bring a basket, they will supply every child with a zoo bag to hold their eggs and crafts.

New this year is photos with the Easter Bunny. Photo opportunities will take place for a small donation from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Wolf Woods Building.

Animal spotlights will take place throughout the day for an interactive experience with a few of the zoo’s own bunnies and educational animals.

The animals will also be celebrating the holiday with Easter themed enrichment. Come see the animals as they experience new scents, food, and toys in the shape of eggs and other themed items.

Eggstravaganza will be held on Saturday, April 15 and Sunday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $6 for members and $9 for non-members.

Want to skip the line? Purchase your tickets now and enter the event through the zoo’s will-call line. Go to https://binghamtonzoo.formstack.com/forms/eggstravaganza to reserve your tickets today.

Eggstravaganza is sponsored in part by Wild 104 and 98.1 the Hawk.

The Binghamton Zoo’s Grand Opening is set for April 22 and will then be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (zoo gates close at 5 p.m.). An events and promotional schedule can be found at rossparkzoo.com.
