The Off Beats.

Music for April’s First Friday Art Walk, taking place on Friady, April 7, will be “The Off Beats” – the music of Marion Tewksbury, Melissa Moon and Gina Behil.

The “Off Beats” is an all female roots-retro-folk rock band; the musicians playing the djembe, autoharp, percussion with strong vocals and harmonies. The group plays locally at the Ransom Steele Tavern, the Binghamton Art Walk, Carol’s Coffeehouse and the CyberCafe.

The featured artist for the month of April is Iryna Juravich with traditional designed beading jewelry, and natural fiber goods and fleece from farm raised sheep, alpaca, angora goats and rabbits. Iryna learned the traditional beadwork from her mother in the Ukraine, which has developed into a lifetime passion studying old and forgotten seed bead decorations for Ukrainian costumes, transitioning these designs into jewelry.
