Help cleanup Tioga’s streams

From May 12 through May 22, the Tioga County Water Coordinating Committee will be holding their 16th annual stream cleanup.  If you are interested in cleaning up your environment or improving your community, then here is your chance.

If you decide to volunteer you can select any stream within the County to cleanup or they will assign you a location. Trash bags, gloves and gifts will be provided to all participants who help clean up the streams.

The committee would like to extend thanks to their long time sponsors of the event. Thank you to Double Aught Lumber Inc., Equine Supply Trading Co., Hiawatha Island Boat Club, JB’s Excavation Services, Jouchum Logging, Lopke Contracting Inc., Mead Farm, Owego Kiwanis, RB Robinson Contracting Inc., Taylor Garbage Service, Tioga State Bank, Wagner Millwork LLC., and Ward and Van Scoy, Inc.

If you are interested in registering a group for this year’s stream cleanup program, contact Ellen Pratt by calling 687-8274 or visit www.tiogacountyny.com. The registration deadline is Friday, May 5.
