Living Stations of the CrossTwelve seniors are among the cast and crew of the Living Stations of the Cross in its 41st year. Fifteen adults support the cast in addition to parents and drivers. Father Thomas Valenti provides spiritual guidance and support.

So far the Living Stations of the Cross have performed four times – at Hilltop Retirement in Johnson City, St. Patrick’s in Owego, snowed out at St. Mary’s of the Assumption in Binghamton, at St. James in Waverly and St. Mary’s of the Lake in Watkins Glen.

This weekend they’ll be at St. Joseph’s in Endicott and at their home church St. Margaret Mary’s in Apalachin on Good Friday.

Living Stations of the CrossEach station of the cross is performed by the Youth Ministry from Blessed Trinity. Owego Free Academy Senior Daniel Raftis portrayed the role of the crucified Jesus on the cross at St. James in Waverly.

Performers receive a well-deserved standing ovation and congratulations from attendees leaving church.

Doreen Behrman stated, “It was so profound and beautiful – a wonderful act of love.”
