Colburn Library to host book reviews

The Friends of the Coburn Free Library are very excited to announce that the Noon Hour Book Review Series is back. Each Wednesday in April brings the opportunity to enjoy a book review during the lunch hour. An added bonus is that you can purchase a sandwich, cookie and drink for a nominal charge.

All book reviews take place in the Fellowship Hall at the Methodist Church, which is located beside the library. The hall is handicap accessible and there is plenty of convenient free parking. The reviews begin promptly at 12:10 and end at 12:45 p.m.

The first book to be reviewed on April 5 is The Founding Gardeners written by Andrea Wulf. The reviewer for this book is Kevin Millar.

Dr. Keith Nichols will review the Gene, by Siddhartha Mukherjee, on April 12.

On April 19, Kevin Millar will be back and will be presenting a review of White Trash: The 400 Year Old Untold History of Class in America authored by Nancy Isenberg.

Sylvia Horowitz will present the final review for 2017. She will review The Homegoing, written by Yaa Gyasi.
