Flood Watch in Tioga and surrounding counties through Sunday morning

According to reports from the National Weather Service (NWS), a Flood Watch is in effect for Tioga and surrounding counties through Sunday morning. A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on the current forecast.

NWS is attributing the continuation of melting snow, combined with an additional half inch to inch of rain tonight, as the reason that minor flooding is expected along the Susquehanna River Basin. NWS reported that smaller streams, creeks, roadside ditches and urban areas might experience flooding as well.
