Owego’s American Legion Post 401 is currently organizing a community cookbook. As well as including recipes donated by community members, many of the local eateries in Apalachin and Owego have been requested to submit a recipe so they can be highlighted in the cookbook.
The profits from the cookbook will aid the Legion in providing continued support for local projects such as Legion Baseball and Boys State, and veteran related organizations and projects.
If you would like to submit a recipe to be included in the cookbook, please mail it to American Legion Post 401, 263 Front St., Owego, N.Y. 13827, ATTN: Cookbook or send it electronically to handbcj@aol.com by April 15.
Cookbooks should be available at the Strawberry Festival in June.
