Proclamation recognizes Women’s History Month and the anniversary of women’s suffrage

Emma Sedore, Tioga County historian, offered remarks at the March 16 legislative meeting and following a proclamation that recognized the month of March as Women’s History Month, and a proclamation that commemorates the historic 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage in New York State.

Standing next to Sedore is Martha Sauerbrey, chair of the Tioga County Legislature. Sedore is serving on a suffrage committee that has activities planned throughout the year as part of their celebration. Sauerbrey serves as a co-chair of the committee.
