On March 6, 2017, at about 9:38 a.m., New York State Police at Owego arrested Steven H. Gillule, age 55 from Barton, N.Y. for the misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated with a B.A.C. result of .13 percent and other traffic violations.
This arrest was the result of a citizen’s complaint on Fifth Avenue in the Town of Tioga. An investigation determined that Gillule had driven to work earlier that morning while intoxicated.
It was reported on Thursday that Gillule serves as a guidance counselor for the Tioga Central School District and that his resignation from that position was accepted at a special meeting of the board of directors on Tuesday evening.
He was issued tickets for the Tioga Town Court and released to appear on March 29, 2017.
