Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening and Support Certification Training offered by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County is offering the nationally recognized Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening and Support Certification Training on March 15 at 56 Main St. in Owego.  

This full day training for management and direct service staff in the Family Strengthening and Support field provides a valuable blueprint for implementing best practice.  

Participants who complete the full session will receive a certificate from the National Family Support Network, valid for two years. Continental breakfast, lunch, and training materials are included.  

Topics covered are The Principles of Family Support Practice, the Strengthening Families Approach and its five Protective Factors – Family Centeredness, Embracing Diversity, Community Building, and Evaluation.
