Tioga County 4-H’ers participate in 4-H Public Presentation Day

Each year, Tioga County 4-H members have the opportunity to develop a public presentation for the county 4-H Public Presentation Day event. The 4-H’ers attend workshops to learn how to prepare a presentation, practice their skills in club meetings and at home, and prepare themselves to be evaluated on their efforts. This year, 34 members participated in the annual event.  

The following are the categories, youth and presentation titles.

Cloverbud (youth five to eight years old) – Fenton Bergfjord, Ranch Riders 4-H Club, I Love Pokemon!; Collin Dunbar, Ranch Riders 4-H Club, Raggedy Ann Salad; Matthew Greene, Berkshire Broncos 4-H Club, Pine Wood Derby Car; Grace Guiles, Flora & Fauna Friends 4-H Club, Arlo the Good Dinosaur; Kate Guiles, Flora & Fauna Friends 4-H Club, Triceratops; Kyle Jantz, Flora & Fauna Friends 4-H Club, Maple Syrup and Jonathan Zorn, Flora & Fauna Friends 4-H Club, Tractor Pulling.

Twenty presenters from the General Presentations and one presenter from the Horse Communications are eligible to represent Tioga County at the 4-H District Public Presentation event in Chenango Forks on Saturday, April 8. They will be evaluated alongside 4-H presenters from eight other New York counties.  

The 4-H members representing Tioga County at the District Presentation event are: Junior Gold Seal Award presenters: Mahayla Walsh and Wyatt Zorn; Senior Gold Seal Award presenters: Marlie Lukach and Madison Peabody; Junior Blue Award presenters: Abby Chobot, Abby Goodrich, Kathryn Greene, Megan Henry, Hannah Holt, Rosie Hines, Aundrea Zorn and Makenna Zorn; Senior Blue Award presenters: Rebecalyn Barber, Alison Goodrich, Staci Greene, Emily Henry, Cassie Hollenbeck, Peter Lukach and Matthew Suttmeier; and Junior Horse Communications presenter: Tess Bergfjord.
