Gymnasts from Owego Gymnastics and Activity Center’s competitive team enjoyed the boost of competing on the local stage at the I Love NY Cup held in Binghamton Feb. 10-12. The Level 2s, Level 4s, and Level 6s all placed in the team competition.
The Level 4s (large team division) and 6s (small team division), were awarded 2nd place in their sessions, while the Level 2s (small team division) took 1st.
Level 2’s Kali Bailey won the All Around in the Junior B age group with a score of 36.650. Her highest score came on Bars with a 9.350.
Samantha Shirley, also in the Junior B age group, placed 3rd with an All Around of 35.900.

In the Child B age group, Kelsey Jackson had an All Around of 34.050 and Elizabeth Abbey had an All Around of 32.200.
Brianna Lounsbury, in the Child A age group had a 32.800 All Around while Geneva Crawford had a 31.675.
Kaylin Twedt, a Level 3, earned a 9.3 to gain 3rd place on the Vault in the Junior A age group while Mira Kittle got a 9.4 on Vault to win the event for the Junior C age group. Kittle also placed 2nd in the All Around in her age group with a 36.750.
Also in the Junior C age group, McKenzie Donnelly gained 1st place on Floor Exercise with a 9.125. Dayne Starkweather in the Junior B age group finished the meet with a 33.00 All Around.
In the Level 4 competition, Lexi Cheeseman and Lilly Tripp both placed 3rd on Vault in their respective age groups while Aubree Wenner placed 3rd in her age group on Bars.
Lauren Cropp placed 2nd on Balance Beam in the Junior C age group. Carsten Crawford placed 5th in the All Around with Madison Cron right behind her in 6th in the Child age group. Kaelyn Katchuk also placed 5th in the All Around in the Junior A age group.
Audra Mieczkowski came in 1st place in the All Around for the Senior A age group in the Level 6 competition with a 34.925. Her highest score came on Bars where she scored a 9.375.
Also in the Senior A age group, Mariah Nichols finished with a 31.950 All Around score. In the Junior B age group Sophia Bruce placed 3rd on Vault and Bars.
