Dylan Fredenburg earns the rank of Eagle Scout

Dylan Fredenburg earns the rank of Eagle ScoutDylan Fredenburg, surrounded by his parents, was recently awarded the rank of Eagle Scout.

Dylan Fredenburg, son of Jim and Lisa Fredenburg, from Troop 36 and Tioga Central High School, has achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouts. The accomplishment represents years of adventure, fun, work, and dedication to the Boy Scout program.    

In addition to the traditional outdoor skills learned in Boy Scouts, Dylan has completed the required 21 merit badges to obtain the Eagle rank and has completed another 20 badges. 

During the process of satisfying the requirements for the Eagle rank, Dylan has performed several hours of community service, provided service and leadership for his troop, and is currently serving as the Quarter Master for the troop.

Dylan’s Eagle Scout project was to build six picnic tables for the new pavilion at Ransom Park in Tioga Center.     

Dylan was formally presented the Eagle Scout award on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017 at a Court of Honor ceremony held at the Masonic Lodge in Nichols with several family and friends.
