‘Living Lightly on the Earth’ to be subject of Sierra Club meeting

A meeting of the Sierra Club Susquehanna Group Tioga County Task Force and RAFT (Residents Allied for the Future of Tioga) will take place on Feb. 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Tioga County Office building located at 56 Main St. in Owego. The subject of the meeting will be “Living Lightly on the Earth.”

Recently, 75 Southern Tier residents responded to a survey that asked questions like these: What inspires you to lighten your footprint? What obstacles stand in your way? What wisdom would you like to pass on to future generations?

Gerri Wiley will share their collective wisdom, showing that the power of people will lead the way in reducing environmental toxins, mitigating climate change, and protecting what we love.
