Two arrested for stealing tractor parts

The Tioga County Sheriff’s Department reported that two men, Theodore R. Cooper, age 34 of Leasure Hill Rd. in Nichols, and Jack Cooper, age 35 of 7 Pierson Ave. in Latham, N.Y., were arrested on Feb. 8 and charged with Grand Larceny 4th.

According to officers, this charge resulted from a vehicle stop and property check on Zimmer Road in the town of Newark Valley, N.Y. During the stop, officers reported that the men were found to have stolen over $1,000 in tractor parts from Goodrich Auction.

Both men were arraigned before Justice John Schaffer, Town of Newark Valley Court, and remanded to the Tioga County Jail.

Theodore Cooper was remanded on $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond; Jack Cooper was remanded on $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond.

Both men are scheduled to reappear before Justice John Schaffer on in the Town of Newark Valley Court on March 14.

  1. These scumbags are constantly spending time in prison and should be locked up for good!! When will the courts get sick of seeing them?
